The water-filled adhesive is a hollow circle shape with a square/triangle/circle pattern; The gum key contains 2 oversized keys attached to a blue ring. According to the Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act, dental glue fillings must not contain any living microorganisms. The product liquid fillers are contaminated with bacteria. If the gum is punctured and ingested, the liquid fillers can affect children with weakened immune systems and pose a risk of stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.
The recalled products were sold in Canada between March 2022 and August 2022, with about 9,901 units sold.
As of August 11, 2022, no accidents or injuries have been reported.
Health Canada recommends immediate discontinuation of the product and disposal of the product.
